POSITION SUMMARY Maui United Way, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to creating positive community impact, seeks a skilled and experienced Director of Development.
As a vital team member, you will be crucial in advancing our mission to improve lives across Maui County.
The Director of Impact is a pivotal leadership role dedicated to driving and assessing our programs and initiatives' overall effectiveness, outcomes, and societal contributions.
As a visionary and results-driven professional, the Director of Impact ensures that Maui United Way achieves its mission by maximizing positive change and sustainable outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
Operational Excellence:
o Lead day-to-day operations, implementing best practices and organizational change management strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
o Oversee systems integration to ensure seamless collaboration between various functions and departments.
Strategic Partnership:
o Collaborate closely with the executive team to contribute to the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan.
o Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing insights into organizational change initiatives aligned with operational goals.
Project Leadership:
o Oversee and lead cross-functional projects, ensuring they align with organizational objectives.
o Coordinate with relevant departments to seamlessly integrate new systems and processes.
Executive Liaison:
o Act as the primary point of contact between executive leadership and various departments.
o Represent the CEO in meetings, discussions, and high-level interactions, ensuring organizational change initiatives are effectively communicated and executed.
Team Collaboration:
o Collaborate with department heads to align operations, facilitate systems integration, and coordinate organizational change efforts.
o Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture across the organization.
Legal and Compliance Oversight o Collaborate with the legal and compliance team.
A key responsibility includes ensuring strict adherence to pertinent laws and regulations.
o Oversees compliance initiatives, conducting regular reviews, and implementing necessary measures to guarantee the organization's operations align with legal requirements and ethical standards.
Financial Stewardship:
o Work closely with the finance team to monitor budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
o Coordinate with finance to align financial strategies with broader organizational change and growth objectives.
Development Integration:
o Collaborate seamlessly with the development team to align fundraising initiatives with operational and organizational change goals.
o Ensure that systems and processes support the organization's fundraising efforts.
Impact Assessment Coordination:
o Work closely with the impact assessment team to integrate impact measurement strategies into organizational change initiatives.
o Ensure that operational changes positively contribute to the organization's overall impact goals.
Facilities Management:
o Oversee facilities-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational change goals.
o Coordinate with relevant teams to optimize the use of physical spaces in support of broader objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirements include:
Master's degree or higher in business, non-profit management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, organizational change, and systems integration.
Proven track record in leading organizational change and efficiency improvement projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passion for the organization's mission and commitment to social impact.
